Decked up to perfection in ethnic ensembles, the actress shared the postcard-perfect photos with a warm greeting that simply read, “Happy Diwali.”
While one photo saw her rocking shades of blue and silver, the other featured her in bright yellow lehenga. She topped her look off with statement jewellery and wore her hair down in loose curls.
Spilling the beans about her plans for the festive season, Janhvi said in an interview with ETimes, “I think there is definitely a lot more hope this time around, a lot more certainty about how to go about things. But I don’t know if I am ready for a big celebration, because I want to be respectful to all those who have suffered immeasurable losses during this pandemic. I believe in honouring the sacredness of the day, which I plan to do with a family puja. And I will pray for this positivity to continue in the coming days.”
Revealing her fondest memories about the festival, she said, “I remember, as a kid, we would all meet up at my daadi’s place, for a sumptuous family meal, before heading off to our respective parties. I have beautiful memories of celebrating Diwali with my mom (Sridevi) at her house in Chennai.”
The actress also revealed that the celebrations in the Kapoor household will continue all through the weekend, especially with sister Khushi Kapoor getting ready to ring in her birthday tomorrow, November 5.
