Anees Bazmee’s film to have a new lead actor after creative dispute with Shahid Kapoor | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Recent media reports suggested that Shahid Kapoor and director Anees Bazmee, initially collaborating on a comedy flick where Kapoor was to play a double role, have amicably decided to go separate ways due to creative differences.

Despite some speculations about the project being shelved, it is believed that the film, rumored to be titled ‘Double Trouble’, is still on the table.

Bazmee, confident about the comedic appeal of his script, is actively seeking a new cast. Initially scheduled to start production in August 2023, the plan shifted to September, but with Shahid Kapoor’s departure, filming will only commence once the cast is finalized.
The film is backed by Dil Raju and earlier reports indicated that Rashmika Mandanna would play the female lead.
In addition to this project, Bazmee is gearing up for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, featuring Kartik Aaryan, set for a Diwali 2024 release. Aaryan reprised his role as Rooh Baba from the franchise’s successful second part, which was released in 2022 starring Kiara Advani and Tabu. With the previous installment’s outstanding box office performance, expectations for the third are sky-high.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor is prepping for his next ‘Koi Shaq’ which will be directed by Roshan Andrews. He also has an upcoming project co-starring
