In these testing times of the coronavirus pandemic, cyclones and plane crashes, the last thing we need is for people to harbour ill will toward each other or mistrust each other purely because they hail from different religions or communities. Reemphasising this message, Director Milap Zaveri of Satyameva Jayate (2018) fame has come up with a beautiful poem on harmony and brotherhood called Bhagwan Aur Khuda, and making it all the more profound is Manoj Bajpayee’s rendition and Lijo George’s BGM, both of which infuse the poem with the desire passion, pith and pathos. BL Verdict: Bhagwan Aur Khuda is indeed a noble and needed deviation in these trying circumstances by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series amidst the label’s surge of remixes. Milap Zaveri’s talent for evocative lines again comes to the fore as does Manoj Bajpayee’s ease at embellishing anything he attaches his name to.
